How to Download and Set Up PriviMetrics on Your Website
If you’re looking for a privacy-friendly, lightweight web analytics tool, PriviMetrics is the option for you. Step 1: Go to the Official Website
Head over to weborbiton.com and find the Solutions section. Look for PriviMetrics.
Step 2: Start the Download
Click Download. Under the Self-Hosted Free forever option, click Get started. Don’t forget to check the license at legal.weborbiton.com/license so you know the terms of use.
Step 3: Access the Download Zone
After clicking Get started, you’ll be redirected to the WebOrbiton Download Zone (dl.wbsrv.icu). Here, simply click Download Now.
You’ll get a ZIP file containing PriviMetrics, ready to upload to your hosting.
Step 4: Set It Up on Your Hosting
Once the ZIP file is downloaded:
Extract the files to a folder on your hosting server.
Open installer.php in your browser. Here, you’ll choose your storage method:
- MySQL: recommended for larger or high-traffic websites. More than ~50,000 visitors per month or over ~2,000 visits per day per site.
- XML: lightweight flat-file storage, perfect for smaller websites or simple setups. Up to ~50,000 visitors per month or ~2,000 visits per day per site.
